Episode 209 - King Arthur: Legend of the Sword
Welcome back to Not A Bomb! Yes, we're still donning sandals, wielding swords, and delving into films that flopped at the box office. In this week's episode, we're diving into the work of one of our favorite directors once more: Guy Ritchie. This time, we’re exploring his interpretation of the Arthurian legend with the 2017 film King Arthur: Legend of the Sword. And since we're revisiting Guy Ritchie's oeuvre, it’s only fitting to welcome Nate back to the show—he previously joined us for our last Guy Ritchie discussion. We completely forgot about this little detail and ended up sounding like complete idiots when it came up. Honestly, feeling lost is pretty much par for the course on this show. So sit back and enjoy the chaos!
King Arthur: Legend of the Sword is directed by Guy Ritchie and stars Charlie Hunnam, Astrid Berges-Frisbey, Djimon Hounsou, Aidan Gillen, Jude Law, and Eric Bana

Episode 185 - Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre and Guy Ritchie's The Covenant
As the end of 2023 approaches, Not A Bomb has decided to go out with a bang. On this week’s show, we discuss not one but two bombs by the same director, Guy Ritchie. This was a rough year at the box office for Mr. Ritchie. Both Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre and Guy ritchie’s The Covenant didn’t make their production budget back during their theatrical run. Critics definately liked one movie over the other. And audiences, who did see the films, liked both.
We couldn’t take on two films in one show without some help. Nate, friend and family member, jumps on to share his thoughts on Guy Ritchie’s filmography and help us decide if these two films deserve more attention.
If that wasn’t enough, we also reveal our 5 best and worst films of the year. Brad followed the instructions. Troy did his own thing. Nate gives everybody a shock with his take on Jackie Chan’s Ride On. You are going to get a lot of recommendations from these lists!
We also want to take a minute and thank all of you for an amazing year and all of the wonderful support. We are truly humbled by our community and appreciate all the feedback.
Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre is directed by Guy Ritchie and stars Jason Statham, Aubrey Plaza, Josh Harnett, Cary Elwes, Bugzy Malone, Eddie Marsan, and Hugh Grant.
Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant is directed by Guy Ritchie and stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Dar Salim, Antony Starr, Alexander Ludwig, Emily Beecham, and Jonny Lee Miller.
Also, this is the last week to let Not A Bomb know your best/worst films of 2023. Head over to Not A Bomb and submit your choice!

Episode 38 - The Man from U.N.C.L.E.
Hello Comrade, and welcome greatest movie film podcast - Not a Bomb.
On this episode, Troy, Brad, and John assemble to tackle the 2015 spy film - The Man from U.N.C.L.E. The film is directed by every fifteen year old’s favorite director, Guy Ritchie, and based on the 1960’s television show of the same name! The Man from U.N.C.L.E was supposed to be Warner Bros answer to James Bond, Jason Borne, and every other spy franchise that was making lots of money. Sadly, when The Man from U.N.C.L.E. was released, Tom Cruise was dominating the box office with Mission Impossible and the studio reportedly lost $80 million.
Listen as the guys talk about their favorite movies based on tv shows, jazz music, and boxer droppers. Yep, that’s right - boxer droppers.
The Man from U.N.C.L.E is directed by Guy Ritchie and stars Henry Cavill, Armie Hammer, Alicia Vikander, Elizabeth Debicki, Jared Harris, and Hugh Grant.
