Episode 66 - Warcraft
What’s up, Bomb Squad! Welcome back to Not A Bomb, the podcast where we reexamine films that bombed at the box office and were panned by critics. This week, Troy and Brad discuss the most successful video game movie of all time - Warcraft. Directed by the supreme talent, Duncan Jones, Warcraft follows the battle between Orcs and humans in Middle Earth….errr, Azeroth. Admittedly, the gang knows very little about the source material which makes them perfect for this film discussion.
Listen as Brad admits to being Orcist and Troy lays the smackdown on Harry Potter. Yes, even the boy wizard isn’t safe from Not A Bomb this week. Can this film survive one of the worst first acts of any movie and the inevitable comparison to Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit?
Warcraft is directed by Duncan Jones and stars Travis Fimmel, Paula Patton, Ben Foster, Dominic Cooper, Ben Schnetzer, Robert Kazinsky, Clancy Brown, and Daniel Wu.

Episode 65 - Mortal Kombat (1995) and Mortal Kombat Annihilation
GET OVER HERE!!! MORTAL KOMBAT!!!! That’s right! On this very special episode of Not A Bomb, Troy and Brad give you two bombs for the price of one. First, the gang rides a mysterious boat to an island for a fighting tournament and discusses 1995’s Mortal Kombat. This movie has it all! You’ll get to see Johnny Cage crotch punch a $1M animatronic character, our heroes fight a CGI reptile from the 90’s, some guy named Art Lean punches his way to the semi-finals, and Christopher freaking Lambert play Lord Exposition…..we mean Lord Raiden.
Directed by Paul W.S. Anderson, Mortal Kombat is considered one of the better video game movies and was a financial success. Sadly, the critics hated it which is why it’s on a podcast called Not A Bomb. Listen as Brad and Troy rain infinite praise upon this film.
If one Mortal Kombat movie wasn’t enough, the boys decide to suffer through Mortal Kombat Annihilation. The 1997 sequel takes all that is great about the first film and completely destroys it. This movie sucks and is pretty much unwatchable. Hear Troy and Brad ponder Shao Kahn’s family issues, CGI dragons, and reject village people.
